Full-Time Housekeeper in Kitchener
Job Description
Location: Fergus Place, Kitchener, ON
Responsibilities:
- Cleans areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate cleaning and sanitation methods and procedures;
- Such cleaning will include, but not be limited to, furniture, kitchen and washroom fixtures, walls, ceilings, lights, vents and windows in resident apartments and common areas;
- Other duties may include: operating floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment and strips, scrubs, spray buffs and refinishes all carpet and non-carpet floor surfaces;
- Picks up garbage and transports to designated areas;
- Adheres to established residence policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices;
- Prepare documentation as required according to residence policy;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and be able to communicate and provide feedback on a day-to-day basis. Proficiency in a second language is an asset;
- Must be familiar with standard institutional cleaning techniques and meet physical requirements of the job;
