Full-Time Learning Coordinator (Bilingual) in Montréal

Job Description

Reporting to the Learning Department, the Learning Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating training and certification activities specifically related to compliance training eg., Bill 16 Quebec legislation. S/he must also work closely with stakeholders from each department at the corporate offices as well as general managers and department managers in residences in terms of planning and logistics for training.

Please note this is a 1 year contract

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2 years relevant experience in training or event coordination, or as an administrative assistant
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written
  • Ability to manage and prioritize several projects at once
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency
  • Acute sense for communications
  • Requires minimal supervision, adapts easily and shows initiative
  • Thorough in following up on files
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Team player and dynamic

Practicing our corporate values of RESPECT, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Plan the logistics of external and internal training sessions
  • Send communications pertaining to training
  • Be familiar with and understand the elements of Bill 16 concerning training and certification of staff
  • Ensure follow up on the Formarez Portal as well as, skills assessments by school boards for all residences (Bill 16)
  • Follow up on purchases of training tools and training reimbursements (Bill 16)
  • Maintain business ties with organizations and suppliers
  • Ensure updates of the National training calendar on behalf of QC departments
  • Work closely with internal trainers from all departments
  • Participate in HR meetings pertaining to training
  • Participate in various projects
  • Ensure follow up on the 1% Law with all residences and the corporate office
  • Keep records of registration, attendance and absences during training updated;
  • Keep performance indicators updated
  • Verify the final translation of certain training programs
  • Follow up on accounts payable and training credits
  • Other administrative tasks
