Job Description
Retirement Homes within the London area are seeking Part-time / Full-time PSW, Companions and Home Support Attendant to oversee the day-to-day care requirements of residents in their Retirement Home and ensure the highest quality service is provided to all residents.
Personal Support Worker provides the personal care and home support services to the client in the retirement housing setting. The duties with clients may vary and include assisting with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
As a key member of the care team, you will monitor and deliver care in accordance with Director of Care and professional practice standards. Your well developed judgment will enable you to perform routine PSW duties. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to foster good communication with residents, the community and staff. You will manage stressful situations with poise and professionalism. Above all, you are an organized team player who works well unsupervised.
Basic Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School with a Personal Support Worker Certificate.
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending English or French. A second language is an asset.
