Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Retirement Homes within the Edmonton area are seeking Part-time / Full-time RNs and RPNs to oversee the day-to-day nursing care requirements of residents in their Retirement Home and ensure the highest quality service is provided to all residents.
As a key member of the care team, you will monitor and deliver nursing care in accordance with nursing plans and professional practice standards. Your well developed judgment will enable you to perform routine nursing duties. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to foster good communication with residents, the community and staff. You will confidently direct staff involved in client care, and manage stressful situations with poise and professionalism. Above all, you are an organized team player who works well unsupervised.
Basic Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration with the provincial licensing body and knowledge of nursing care processes.
- At least one year of recent experience preferred with a focus in a community setting, however new nursing graduates are encouraged to apply and will be evaluated on an individual basis.
- Post-graduate studies would be an asset
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending English and/or French
